No. HQ-C-3007/10/2025-C-3: As per the Recruitment Scheme formulated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and as per the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), the Staff Selection Commission will conduct an Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR). The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Medical Examination and Document Verification. The salient features of the Recruitment Examination are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

• Citizen of India
• Must possess Domicile/PRC of the State/UT indicated in the application (except Assam & specified categories)
• Matriculation or 10th Class pass from a recognized Board/University as on 01-01-2026
• NCC Certificate holders eligible for bonus marks (optional)
• Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)
• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 23 Years (Born not earlier than 02-01-2003 and not later than 01-01-2008)
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
  • Children/dependents of 1984 riot victims (UR/EWS): 5 years
  • Children/dependents of 1984 riot victims (OBC): 8 years
  • Children/dependents of 1984 riot victims (SC/ST): 10 years
